Venus retrogrades happen every 18 months and over time form a beautiful Five pointed star as it continually travels through only five of the zodiac signs in eight year cycles.

Visually in the sky we get to witness Venus as the evening star descend into the darkness to become the morning star.

This period is all about, re-evaluating, reworking and resolving issues around love and relationships. The focus can also be on finances, self confidence and also highlights what we value and is of importance to us.

Venus retrograde traverses through the underworld in Scorpio from October 6 – November 1, relationships can be tested and this may have you re evaluate their worth in your life.

This can bring up deep issues in relationships around trust, loyalty, love, sex the deepening of intimacy and death as in what needs to be changed or either released and let go of in order for it to be purified and issues dealt with in order for transformation to occur.

Past lovers can return or perhaps thoughts of them pop in order for resolution to occur and finally bring some closure.

Venus in Scorpio wants to reveal what is hidden to face the shadows and delve into the deeper emotions such as jealousy, obsession and our true desires (Lucifer on Netflix comes to mind when he asks a person what is your deepest desire and he is always quite amused it is something quite trivial and not what he is expecting.) It’s a time to deeply explore what you value, what is truly important to you.

Venus is also about beauty so it’s probably not an ideal period to have any cosmetic surgery done and if possible postpone having that makeover or updating your wardrobe as you might not be that happy with the results or the style may not be quite what you wanted.
