New moon Solar Eclipse in Capricorn-December 26

Eclipses are super charged New and Full Moons and what makes an Eclipse is when it falls within 18 degrees of the nodes. Eclipses are powerful portals of change; they act like a course corrector they help to put us back on track and in soul alignment. Depending on the house area and whether they aspect a planet in your chart will indicate the intensity and depth each person will experience which can be felt up to 6 months after the Eclipse.

In ancient times Eclipses were feared and were seen as warnings and omens from the Gods. The Eclipses often brought major shifts in rulership during these times with the King either been overthrown or their demise and a new reign put in place to create new order and to appease the Gods You can imagine in those times seeing the Sun or Moon being swallowed up and not knowing if the light would ever return would have raised enormous fear and change in those times. Today we know Eclipses as mathematical celestial events ranging from tiny partial to full visual displays where people travel the world to see these big astronomical events.

This year has seemed rather fated beginning with a powerful New Moon Eclipse in Capricorn January5/6 and concluding with another New Moon Eclipse in Capricorn December 25/26 both being in orb of the South node. The south node is a spiritual release point assisting in the releasing and letting go of baggage from the past, people situations and old karma.

The South Node is karmic enough on its own now let alone being connected to the longer Pluto/ Saturn Synodic cycle which only happens every 36 years, has been building all year to make its exact one off conjunction January 12/13. All year we have been witnessing the breaking down of the old patriarchy, government, financial and business institutions and the personal purging, clearing of old, outdated structures and paradigms from our lives. This year has brought massive deconstruction in certain areas of our lives resulting in many changes and endings personally in order for a Rebirth. Big hearted Jupiter is featured strongly in this Eclipse, I see Jupiter surveying the harsh cold reality of the Capricorn landscape in our charts. He is assessing the damage after the raging, purifying fires of Pluto and the wrecking ball of Saturn which have ravished and demolished the land bringing major shifts and the collapsing of old entrenched patterns and structures that can no longer be sustained.

After Jupiter’s initial assessment he can begin to make plans to either to continue to extract and highlight what’s rotten and needs to be further released and highlight the patterns and structures that can be saved and just need some consolidating before the actual rebuild and new order for our lives can finally begin to take place.

Have we released enough, have we let go of enough dead debris, have we died enough to the old ways so that we can give birth to the new, have we surrendered enough to the old ways that keep us little and powerless.

Jupiter is in a tight orb making a favorable connection to Uranus creating some exciting and liberating changes at this Solar Eclipse which can continue to unfold over the next 6 months. Jupiter has so much charm and grace in being able to help us see the big picture vision for our lives even if we can’t see the new direction that is beginning to unfold.

Mars is gifting us with the courage to face any deep psychic undercurrents that are arising now and to take action in confronting these feelings. Mars adds some fire, passion and the momentum to take action in the rebuilding of your life from the ground up and to create new foundations.

Eclipses carry a more fated quality to them, acting like a gateway clearing things out and bringing new things in. We can hold onto and set loose intentions and wishes but it is more of a wait watch and see energy and by surrendering and remaining open to where the energy is leading you.
